6. FILM PROCESSING TERMS & LIABILITY

6.1 Risk of Loss or Damage

All film and materials are accepted and processed at the customer's risk.

While every care is taken in handling and processing film, The S.P.A.C.E cannot be held responsible for accidental loss, damage, or processing defects which may occur due to mechanical failure, chemical contamination, handling error, or other unforeseen circumstances.

6.2 Limitation of Liability

In the event of loss or damage to film while in our care, liability is limited to one of the following at the studio's discretion:

•       Replacement of the unexposed film

•       Refund of the processing charges paid

•       Re-processing of replacement film supplied by the customer

Under no circumstances shall The S.P.A.C.E be liable for loss of images, missed events, commercial losses, or consequential damages.

6.3 Incorrect Exposure or Camera Faults

The S.P.A.C.E is not responsible for client direct issues caused by:

•       Incorrect exposure

•       Light leaks or camera malfunction

•       Film previously exposed to X-rays, heat, or moisture

•       Expired or improperly stored film

•       Blank or unexposed film

6.4 Postal Film - Customer Responsibility

Customers sending film by post do so at their own risk.

•       We recommend using Royal Mail Tracked or Special Delivery when sending valuable film

•       The S.P.A.C.E cannot accept responsibility for items lost or delayed in transit before they arrive at the studio

6.5 Return Postage

•       Return postage options are selected at the time of purchase (Standard, Tracked, or Guaranteed Next-Day)

•       The S.P.A.C.E cannot be held responsible for items lost or delayed after dispatch

•       Proof of posting will be retained where available

6.6 Valuable or Professional Work

If film contains commercial, irreplaceable, or high-value images, customers are advised to retain insurance or request special handling arrangements prior to processing.
