The Southend Photographic and Creative Environment
The S.P.A.C.E is a unique and sizeable creative photography studio based in Southend-on-Sea which includes a large infinity cove, a hanging gantry rig, a traditional darkroom with dedicated film scanning equipment, hair + make up stations, a kitchen, shower and changing facilities, additional office space and even our very own bonsai garden!
Our hope is to create a unique and welcoming space, empowering our clients, fellow photographers, local creatives, and free thinkers to bring their visions to life, in an inspiring and inclusive environment.
We regularly host community events and invite other creatives to showcase their work and expertise with others, which we believe helps foster an environment of inspiration, collaboration, and community.

Hire the Studio
Hire The S.P.A.C.E for your own shoots, events, and creative endeavours.
You can book directly through our online calendar, or if you’d like to talk through your plans first, just get in touch—we’re always happy to help.
For creatives who need regular access, we also offer monthly subscriptions at half the usual rate, perfect for personal projects and ongoing work.
Hire the Darkroom
Our fully equipped analogue darkroom is available for independent hire.
Offering a calm, professional space for black and white developing and printing.
Work at your own pace or book a one-to-one session for guided support and technical confidence.
Darkroom Services
We provide in-house black & white film developing and high-quality scanning, handle with care and attention to tonal details.
From single rolls to ongoing projects, your negatives are processed to a high standard and return ready to print or digital use.
Portraits Services
Whether you're looking for professional headshots, relaxed family portraits or something more creative, sessions are calm, natural, and unhurried.
We keep the experience straightforward, so you feel comfortable in the S.P.A.C.E. allowing authentic image to unfold.
Branding Services
Strong visuals define your brand. We create refined imagery for creatives, makers and businesses. From personal brand portraits to product photography. Our studio has vehicle access and has successfully hosted classic motorbikes and cars, allowing for larger- scale commercial shoots. Clean confident images ready for web social and print.

Beach House TherapyNatasha is the founder of Beach House Therapy and offers Counselling, Hypnotherapy, and Breath work services, catering to individuals, adults, and children, both online and in person. She has a master’s degree in clinical and Community Psychology and have been working in the NHS since 2011. She has years’ experience working within Mental Health services specialising in adolescence and addiction.
